Christian Polchies (Mi’kmaq/Maliseet) is the Founder and CEO of People of the Eastern Sky Consulting, an Indigenous-owned firm rooted in the teachings of the Wabanaki territory. With over 15 years of leadership experience in Indigenous governance, social development, and community engagement, Christian is a passionate advocate for self-determination and culturally grounded transformation.
Guided by the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing, Christian has built a career delivering meaningful change in housing, employment, youth wellness, governance, and reconciliation. His journey includes executive leadership roles in First Nation governance organizations and business development positions in the private sector.
Christian's leadership is defined by community-first solutions, strategic thinking, and authentic relationships. He has managed million-dollar programs, secured major funding, and authored impactful policy. He serves on advisory groups including JEDI and the NB Career Development Association.
Raised in Oromocto First Nation, Christian brings lived experience, professional discipline, and heart to every engagement. His mission is to walk alongside communities, lifting voices, building capacity, and helping Nations rise with the strength and vision of the Eastern Sky.
